Our Story
How we went from an idea to a platform empowering thousands of independent artists
The Spark
In 2022, our founder was sitting in a small Nashville coffee shop, listening to an incredibly talented local musician perform. The artist had thousands of streams on various platforms but could barely make ends meet. Meanwhile, major label artists with mediocre music were getting pushed to millions of listeners.
Something was broken. The system wasn't designed to help independent artists succeed—it was designed to maintain the status quo, where a few gatekeepers decided who got to make it.
That moment of clarity sparked the idea for Hallelujah: a platform built from the ground up for independent artists. No gatekeepers, no unfair revenue splits, no compromises on creative control.
Our Journey
From concept to reality
The Beginning
It started with a simple observation: talented independent artists were struggling to get their music heard. Traditional platforms favored major labels, and smaller artists were left fighting for scraps.
Building the Dream
We assembled a team of musicians, engineers, and industry veterans who shared a common vision: create a platform where independent artists could thrive. Months of development led to our beta launch.
Community Growth
The response was overwhelming. Thousands of artists joined, uploading their music and building their audiences. Listeners discovered fresh talent they loved. We knew we were onto something special.
The Future
Today, Hallelujah is home to over 10,000 artists and 1 million listeners. But we're just getting started. Our mission is to become the go-to platform for independent creators worldwide.
Looking Ahead
Our story is far from over. Every day, we're working to add new features, improve the platform, and find new ways to support independent artists.
We envision a future where talent matters more than connections, where artists keep what they earn, and where listeners discover music they truly love—not what an algorithm thinks they should hear.
This is our story. We're building it together with every artist and listener who joins our community.
